The 2026 edition of NM Trends, now in its eighteenth year, once again confirmed its position as one of the most influential events for the Peruvian and Latin American textile industry. Organized by Nuevo Mundo, Peru’s leader in denim and drill production, the event brought together designers, brands, manufacturers, distributors, and strategic partners under a unifying theme: RE_NACER (Rebirth). Un invitation to rethink, regenerate, and reconnect the industry through creativity, technology, and sustainability.
The success of the event was undeniable. More than just a fashion show, the runway became a meeting point between tradition and innovation, a stage where the Peruvian textile sector could showcase itself with renewed energy.
Tonello e Nuevo Mundo: a partnership looking ahead
As a sponsor of the event, Tonello was proud to stand alongside Nuevo Mundo, supporting their vision and contributing to an open dialogue with the regional textile community. For us, sponsorship is not just about being present, it is about sharing common values and goals: innovation, sustainability, and industry growth.
With more than 75 years of history, Nuevo Mundo has established itself as a benchmark for textiles in Peru and across the Andean region. This year, the company launched its new ReadyMade platform, a tool designed to bridge the gap between concept and production. Each collection comes complete with fabrics, silhouettes, washes, patterns, and technical sheets, offering clients a faster, more tangible path toward developing their own lines.

Renaissance: the collection that symbolized collaboration
One of the standout moments of NM Trends 2026 was the presentation of Renaissance, a collection created at Denim Splash, Nuevo Mundo’s industrial laundry, in collaboration with Tonello.
This capsule collection demonstrated how laser technologies and sustainable finishing processes can transform denim into an unlimited creative laboratory. At the same time, it highlighted the value of an alliance: on one side, Nuevo Mundo’s production strength and local expertise; on the other, Tonello’s technological know-how and sustainable approach.
Innovation and sustainability on the runway
With Renaissance, Tonello and Nuevo Mundo proved that aesthetics and responsibility can go hand in hand. Through laser technology and innovative processes, the collection gave tangible form to the daily commitment both partners share:
-
Creative and refined finishes, produced quickly and precisely
-
Significantly reducing water and chemical usage
-
Enabling safer, faster, and more efficient production cycles
The result was a demonstration of how collaboration can generate new opportunities, adapting international inspirations to local tastes and needs, without ever compromising on quality.
A shared vision for the future
NM Trends 2026 was not just a fashion event. It was a laboratory of ideas, a space to strengthen connections, and an opportunity to imagine the future of the textile industry in a more human and sustainable way.
As a sponsor, Tonello helped give strength and visibility to this journey. Nuevo Mundo, with its renewed positioning and pioneering initiatives such as ReadyMade, once again showed its role as a driver of change.
Together, we believe that true innovation always emerges from the meeting of vision, collaboration, and shared responsibility. In Lima, this spirit was tangible: an industry being reborn, day after day, more creative and more sustainable.
