Tonello returns to the Kingpins Show in Amsterdam with a new Metamorphosis: True Italian Workwear

On October 23 and 24, 2024, at booth #22 – Blue Area, Tonello will again be present at the Kingpins Show in Amsterdam with a revolutionary representation that redefines Italian workwear. A project that aims to show that even garments designed to be practical and functional can be transformed into true design masterpieces. With Metamorphosis – True Italian Workwear, Tonello reinterprets iconic Italian workwear, using responsible technological innovations. The result is a collection that renews these garments, enhancing the value of those who wear them every day and combining craftsmanship and modernity. The collection highlights the overalls and workwear worn by people every day, emphasizing the importance of their role through a new aesthetic perspective. These garments, usually seen as “humble,” are reinvented and transformed into unique, contemporary designed pieces through innovations such as DyeMate and Laundry (R)Evolution. DyeMate, the first patented indigo garment dyeing technology, uses a combination of sulfur and indigo dyes to create unique color depths and contrasts typical of vintage denim.

This is how garments ready to be dyed become the focus of Sulfur Essence, a striking collection that enhances the beauty and authenticity of workwear, once again underscoring the unstoppable evolution of indigo garment dyeing.

Tonello’s top collaborations at the Kingpins Show:

During these two days, we will be at the center of collaborative projects that explore new frontiers between fashion, art and sustainability:

  • SAKE – Second Edition: This project, artistically directed by Mohsin Sajid, features designers Sadia Rafique and Matt Duckett. A fusion of art and technology that collaborates with top fabric mills, fiber and chemical manufacturers to create a collective work. Here denim becomes a canvas on which to experiment, combining style and responsibility.

This project demonstrates how a single fabric can be declined into countless variations through cutting-edge washing and finishing processes, revealing the versatility and transformative nature of denim.
