Tonello releases its first Sustainability Report

Journal

Tonello takes a further step in strengthening its responsible industrial vision with the release of its first Sustainability Report. The publication formalizes a commitment that has long guided the company’s technological and operational choices, translating it into a clear and structured narrative.

Prepared on a voluntary basis in accordance with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards (GRI 2021), the Report refers to the 2024 reporting year and offers a comprehensive view of Tonello’s environmental, social, and governance performance within its global operating context.

At Tonello, sustainability is understood as a concrete outcome of how technologies are designed and implemented in real manufacturing environments. With more than 10,500 machines installed worldwide, the company operates at a pivotal stage of the garment finishing value chain, where technological decisions directly influence resource efficiency, process performance, and working conditions.

A materiality process shaped by stakeholder input

The Sustainability Report is grounded in a structured materiality assessment developed through the active involvement of a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Employees, customers, brands, suppliers, and representatives of local communities contributed to identifying the issues most relevant to Tonello’s activities and to the broader garment finishing ecosystem.

This process led to the identification of key priority areas, including Research and Development for product innovation, business continuity, supply chain robustness, and workplace health and safety. These topics reflect both stakeholder expectations and the operational challenges faced by a global provider of industrial technologies.
